Assist the Collectorate in verifying industry
claims on raw material consumption and finished
goods outputs against actual production processes.
Support the evaluation of applications for duty
exemptions and export-related incentive schemes.
Conduct sectoral studies to establish standard
input-output ratios for industries availing
customs concessions/exemptions, export
facilitation schemes or duty drawback.
Assist in conducting field visits, plant
inspections, and stakeholder consultations
with industries and trade associations.
Provide expert opinion during investigations
and audits involving input-output ratios for
customs decision making.
Maintain and update a database of sector-specific
input-output norms for IOCO.
Prepare technical reports, recommendations,
and case notes to support customs policy
formulation.
Assist in determining duty drawback rates and
conducting periodic reviews.
Deliver training and provide technical support
to customs staff on industrial processes and
input-output analysis.
Perform any other duties assigned by the
Collector related to the role.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
(Mechanical, Chemical, Textile or
related fields).
Master's or bachelor’s degree or
equivalent degree in relevant field.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience
working in the relevant industrial sector.
Basic knowledge of Customs Laws and rules
preferred.
Strong understanding of production costing,
yield ratios, and material efficiency.
Experience with industrial site audits,
plant process evaluations, or input-output
studies.
Strong data analysis, documentation, and
presentation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and data/statistical
tools.
Analytical and investigative mindset.
Ability to work collaboratively in
multidisciplinary teams.
